Bracing

Wall bracing is an essential to support the structure and enhance the basic soundness of any steel building and add to the basic soundness of the system.

SteelMAX bracing brackets can be connected to stumps, posts, bearers or joists.

Note that these items include U-shaped brackets and square washers. Threaded bracing rods and nuts are not included with these items.

Features and benefits

  • Bracing brackets are available to fit 50mm, 75mm or 90mm members, and can be connected to either stumps, posts or joists
  • U-shaped brackets can be fixed to stump posts or tube to take 12mm or 16mm bracing rods in cross sets (i.e. four brackets per set).

Specifications

The following table provides a guide to the bracing capacities of 12mm and 16mm bracing rod sets, where Steel-Max bracing brackets are used.
